Those History Channel specials about how we faked the moon landing are now happily regarded as total nonsense. Because people are excited about space again. Let's get this planet's new generation excited about leaving it.

The Field Museum
It was very difficult to avoid channeling Calvin and Hobbes with these lines. "Little Timmy was on an errand with his brother Howard. They dawdled by the candy shop and both boys were devoured."

Glad ForceFlex Trash Bags
Marketing to housewives and mothers is so 90s. Let's man this the f*** into the 21st century, shall we?
I've been writing and generating content for the military and first responder retail site GovX.com for five years.
From email headers, subject lines, to blog posts and product descriptions, the work I do has a militaristic, masculine, in-your-face tone that doorkickers like Navy SEALs and SWAT officers seem to really appreciate.
Basically everything you read on GovX is meant to get badasses to click the Add to Cart button. And it works.
Happy Thanksgiving from the GovX Staff
Well, the GovX staff may not be movie stars, but we’re certainly rockstars at providing discounts for the folks who serve our country and communities. I wrote and directed this holiday tribute to our site’s members.
GovX officially launched an open site for customers who support Americans of service, but lack the work experience to qualify for GovX membership. The story we tell here is about those proud Americans who love liberty, well-built gear, and the feeling of being useful in a world that values their skills.
Welcoming Creative Pros with Beer
When the One Club Creatives Retreat took place here in sunny San Diego, the students at San Diego Portfolio Studio decided to say hi in the best way we know how: By courting folks we admire with delicious homebrews. Beer this good just might inspire a LinkedIn connection. Because we're not above bribes.
I did most of the writing for this project and collaborated with my classmates on the ideation. We wrapped the beer in quotes we dug up from the various attendees to the conference, and included little buttons with symbols that matched their personas, like PJ Pereira's iconic eyeglasses.
Life is filled with excuses to throw a party. Even these days, when reasons for celebration seem to be at an all-time low. But if you stop and look, you've got tons of reasons to throw one.
Americans love winning. But loving winning and actually winning are two very different things. And no other athletes than the men and women of USA Rugby understand that better.* It's only been 40 years since our country officially joined this 450-year-old sport. We've got a lot of catching up to do.
*Except maybe the San Diego Chargers.
The "Zero Lucks Given" Shirt
This shirt featuring a character whom my coworkers and I dubbed "Tactical Leprechaun" was a true labor of love from multiple departments at GovX.com—a shopping site for military and first responders.
Here's my contribution to the effort. Within hours of going live with this shirt pre-order campaign (get it in time for St. Patrick's Day!), we had sold out of every shirt in stock.
I generated the product page copy to evoke the same kind of "come and get me" glare you see in this bearded fella's eyes. For the blog article, I tried my best to channel a little Chuck Norris, a little Most Interesting Man in The World, and I think it worked too—the comments on that article were an absolute riot.
